We are looking for part-time custodians to join our team!Our Custodial Team plays an integral part on campus to care for and maintain the cleanliness throughout the college to the highest standards. Join the Campus Services Custodial Team and help support the upkeep of our campus and its facilities for students, faculty, staff, and the community.

This position is categorized as a Custodian 1 under State of Washington Class Specification. This position is a permanent part-time position that works 75 hours per month or 18ish hours per week and serves a probationary period of 6 months. The typical scheduled work hours are between 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday through Friday and custodians receive a shift premium of $2.50 per hour. In person work is required.

Cleans various buildings, offices, classrooms, showers, restrooms, windows (exterior/interior) etc. Keeps facilities properly supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other items Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, dusts and polishes floors, walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment Empties and cleans wastebaskets, and recycle containers Assists with set-ups and take-downs of equipment and furnishings for college events Operates custodial equipment (i.e. scrubbers, extractors, carts, etc.) and a utility cart Wears a respirator (dust mask) as necessary. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements:

Must have the physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel and lift up to 30 pounds Ability to stand, bend, twist and move for extended periods of time. Ability to maneuver in tight spaces and on different surfaces. Ability to use various equipment to load/unload freight, furniture and other materials. This job will requires wearing non-slip footwear for safety.

Time management skills; this position is a time on task job Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within six months of hire Preferred Qualifications:

Previous custodial experience in an educational environment Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Word & Outlook or similar program

This position is part of a bargaining unit subject to the WFSE HE collective bargaining agreement. Anticipated Start Date

LCC offers two start dates for new employees - the 1st and 16th or the closest working day. Paid Leave Paid leave is accrued in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Leave is accrued based on the same proportional basis that the non-permanent part-time appointment bears to a full-time schedule. Employees accrue prorated vacation, sick leave, one personal holiday, and two personal leave days.

Other Benefits for Part-time Employees Retirement After 5 consecutive months of 70 or more hours worked, part-time employees are eligible for retirement and required to participate. Employees participate in either PERS Plan 2 or PERS Plan 3 administered through the Department of Retirements Systems. Both plans are matched by LCC. On-site Childcare Center Theis a state licensed program that offers high quality childcare for children ages 1 month through kindergarten entry to students, staff and faculty. The center is open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The program is a participant of the Washington State Early Achievers quality rating and improvement system and rated a level 4-Quality Level of Excellence. Our teachers are trained in the Early Childhood Education field.
