The 3D Spatial Design Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity to join PM Group's quickly growing
Boston
area team out of
Burlington, MA . We are sharing knowledge, learning, growing, and continuing to be an integral part of supporting PM Group's ongoing expansion in the US. Our office is executing cutting-edge projects for Biologics, Pharmaceutical and Cell & Gene Therapy facilities - from feasibility through to qualification - for both local and international clients. Together with our clients and partners, we will deliver projects that improve the everyday lives of people across the globe.

To support these efforts, we are seeking a 3D Spatial Design Coordinator to support our multi-disciplinary design projects. We are looking for an Engineer or Architect who enjoys client interaction as much as the technical aspects of the position. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle multiple real-time complex projects and operational tasks successfully, while maintaining a strong work ethic and a drive to deliver for clients as a collaborative colleague.
Project work will encompass all levels of design, including feasibility studies, conceptual and schematic design, construction documentation, and construction administration. Project sizes will vary, primarily focusing on life science industry projects, including both existing building improvements and new construction.

Responsibilities
Interface with the Client to interpret scope and requirements Prepare and maintain the DeLPD (Digitally Enabled Lean Project Delivery) Execution Plan Overall responsibility for managing the 3D modeling design from early phase to end of detailed design Lead the space management and coordination for projects, including Support the development of each disciplines design philosophy Carry out design risk assessments Provide input into the development of the Integrated Project Schedule Develop and manage the discipline estimates and resource loading for DeLPD administration support Coordinate 3rd Party Designers for Cleanrooms, Sprinklers, Super skids etc. Lead weekly internal model design coordination meetings to review model progress and/or issues affecting modelling efficiencies Manage and interface with 3D design leads across the business Engage in regular face-to-face, phone and Teams communication with all disciplines to ensure coordination is a key aspect of daily activities Oversee the coordination of all design disciplines within the model, ensuring proper allocation of both internal and external spaces Identify and resolve any design coordination issues Expedite the weekly vendor information required by modelers to complete their tasks Monitor the flow of information to ensure seamless communication and coordination among all design disciplines Coordinate both formal (with client) and informal (internal) design reviews Manage the closeout of action items during design reviews and clash reports Expedite clash resolution Coordinate the commencement and completion of checking activities Oversee overall model progress reporting & MTOs Manage the deliverable issue schedule in relation to the construction schedule Handle changes to scope and requirements, and identify changes to disciplines and the Project Manager Production of Discipline Deliverable Prioritize the procurement of items that have the largest impact on modelling Perform work in compliance with PM Group's Quality Management System Special projects as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Architectural discipline is strongly preferred 7+ Years of design experience in a design firm setting (preferably in the life sciences industry - Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Cell & Gene Therapy) A good working knowledge of 3D engineering software systems such as Revit A complete understanding of spatial design technical principles, theories and the concepts for complex process facilities including but not limited to process piping design Knowledge of international and local standards which impact safe operation and maintenance building layout design Demonstrate commercial awareness by undertaking value engineering activities and implementing new technologies to provide cost effective solutions for our clients Demonstrated commercial awareness in project execution, budget control, resource management, and change control Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents Maintain a professional demeanor and approach, with strong ethical commitment to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business integrity Demonstrated ability to play a positive role in multi-disciplined teams with a reliable, consistent, and mature approach to work
