Job Summary: The Facility Service Worker position is an essential part of the Department of Culture, Parks, and Recreation. This position is responsible for facility cleaning and maintenance of CPRD facilities with a direct focus on Centennial Village Museum, Meeker Home Museum & White-Plumb Farm Learning Center. This includes coordinating and performing custodial tasks, minor maintenance and program/special event support. In addition, this position is expected to communicate effectively with their supervisor and various CPRD staff to support and problem solve the needs of each facilities
Experience, Knowledge, Skills
Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid Colorado driver's license. Preferred
Three years (3) of related experienced. Bilingual - English/Spanish. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance as it relates to public buildings. Demonstrated customer service skills. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions required. Proficient computer skills to use Outlook, Connect2 (work order entry software), Amelia software for event schedules, coordination, TEAMS for virtual meetings and Oracle for payroll, requested PTO and evaluations. Essential Functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance of public buildings, including cleaning agents and chemicals. Proficient computer skills to use Outlook, Connect2 (work order entry software), Amelia software for event schedules, coordination, TEAMS for virtual meetings and Oracle for payroll, requested PTO and evaluation. General knowledge of custodial procedures, practices or operations required. Specialized knowledge of custodial procedures, practices or operations within historic buildings and artifact collections is also required. Effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and public. Operate small equipment such as power tools, buffers, vacuums, extractors, lifts, and auto scrubbing machines. Attend safety training sessions. Quality customer service skills. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Functions
Directly responsible for overseeing and performing the cleaning and custodial tasks related to Centennial Village Museum, Meeker Home Museum & White-Plumb Farm Learning Center. Position tasks include cleaning and maintaining rare historic artifact collections of museum sites, with specialized knowledge of appropriate cleaning techniques and chemicals. Coordinate with other city agencies, (i.e. Facilities) for support and/or assistance with tasks. Reports any issues of structural and artefact deterioration or pest infestation. Works with Museum Curators to remediate these and any other events that may cause damage to historic buildings or objects. Works closely with the Museum Curators in cleaning and relocating artifacts. Works closely with on-site contractors performing custodial or maintenance tasks. Participates in team meetings and other training as assigned. Organizes, maintains and secures custodial supply areas. Forming schedules and coordinating supply orders with Crew Leader. Provides basic building upkeep and maintenance including changing light bulbs, painting, and wall patching. Assists in deep cleaning projects at multiple facilities during closures. Other maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned. The incumbent works to see that all equipment, tables and chairs, and support materials are in place at the start of programs and special events. Assists in event preparation at other CPRD facilities as needed. Occasionally directs seasonal employees and community service volunteers in cleaning and event preparation duties as required. Demonstrates a high level of internal and external customer service. Handles difficult situations with facility guests with patience, good judgement, and diplomacy. Communicates effectively with staff to ensure event needs are met. Uses Amelia software to coordinate facility events and needs. Supervisory Responsibilities

Frequent interruptions and heavy public contact. Required to work weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings and some holidays. Exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals. Physical Requirements
Strength and stamina enough to walk, stand, stretch, bend, lift or carry up to 50lbs. Manual dexterity enough to complete daily work such as equipment repair, hand tools, drive and operate motor vehicles. Operate vacuums, buffers, floor scrubbers, extractors, and hydraulic lifts. Manual labor, prolonged standing and walking. Travel
10% local travel.
