A respected manufacturer in the region is seeking a dedicated
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead a team supporting day-to-day operations in a production environment. This is a key leadership role overseeing a team of 5-7 maintenance professionals, including electricians, millwrights, and apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and support a team of maintenance technicians to ensure optimal equipment uptime, plant safety, and facility upkeep.
Maintain and uphold an established preventive maintenance program and ensure execution with minimal disruption to production.
Coordinate building and grounds maintenance, including seasonal tasks.
Serve as the first point of contact for facility-related emergencies.
Enforce safety standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with local technical education providers to support employee development—previous experience managing or collaborating with educational institutions is highly .
Qualifications:
Proven experience leading a maintenance or skilled trades team in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting and encouraging educational growth in maintenance or technical team members.
Electrical or mechanical certifications, including journeyman or E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation), are a strong plus but not required if the candidate has successfully led electrical teams.
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Ability to manage tasks ranging from technical oversight to facilities coordination.
