Parsec, LLC. is currently seeking a

Maintenance Manager

for our operation based in Harvey, IL. This position includes managing, planning, organizing all intermodal equipment maintenance and repair. We are seeking an aggressive, forward-thinking and highly motivated candidate to work in a fast paced environment.

Schedule:

Day shift: 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

Operational & Technical Oversight:

Supervise the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all intermodal and rail support equipment, including but not limited to hostlers, reach stackers, RTGs, chassis, and railcars. Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Ensure timely resolution of equipment failures to minimize operational downtime. Oversee inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables for efficient maintenance support. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and service history for all equipment. Administrative & Compliance Duties:

Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, track spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with FRA, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and warranty compliance for third-party repairs. Oversee procurement of parts and services in accordance with company policies and procedures. Generate and submit regular reports to senior leadership on equipment condition, downtime, and maintenance KPIs. Leadership & Team Management:

Recruit, train, and manage maintenance technicians and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations, safety briefings, and ongoing training. Promote a strong safety culture through proactive engagement and accountability. Foster collaboration across departments to support terminal productivity and reliability. Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Transportation, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of progressive maintenance experience, preferably in an intermodal or rail operations setting. 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of intermodal terminal operations, rail yard equipment, and DOT/FRA regulations. Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and maintenance planning tools. Proficiency in maintenance software systems (e.g., CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Work Environment:

Field and office-based work in an active terminal environment. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be available for emergency call-outs as needed. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
