Leidos is seeking an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is part of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport section of the Navy's largest IT services program, SMIT. As part of our organization, you will contribute to the crucial backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, which includes a range of services such as cybersecurity, network operations, service desk support, and data transport.
Job Responsibilities As a key team member, you will: Install, configure, service, and maintain IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments, including Microsoft server and Defense Message Systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer information systems problems to ensure reliable operations.
Perform hardware upgrades and repairs to maintain mission capability and performance.
Set up and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various network transmission media.
Assist in the installation and optimization of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN), including troubleshooting experiences with technologies such as IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
U.S. Citizenship with an active DOD Secret clearance.
CompTIA Security+ certification and a Microsoft Associate Level certification are required.
The hourly range for this role is $30/hour - $33/hour. This range is a general guideline and does not guarantee compensation. The final offer will take into account various factors including job responsibilities, applicant experience, skills, and internal equity.
