Job Summary
The multimedia designer is a key creative position primarily focused on producing engaging, on-brand digital and web-related creative content. This role involves designing for the University's website and digital advertising while ensuring all digital assets are visually compelling, user-friendly, and aligned with brand standards and accessibility guidelines. The multimedia designer will also collaborate with the marketing team to support lead generation and strategic marketing goals.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
Develops and maintains visually compelling and user-friendly web page designs that align with the University's brand identity and strategic goals Collaborates with web team to ensure web design is accessible and responsive Creates motion graphics and animated elements for use in video projects, digital campaigns, and social platforms; collaborates with photographer/videographer to enhance storytelling with dynamic visuals Collaborates with creative director and graphic designer on print and digital projects as needed Utilizes strong layout skills to balance type, imagery, and visual hierarchy across a range of media Maintains and enhances the University's visual identity by ensuring consistent design standards across all multimedia content Service Excellence
Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University's values Provides training and guidance to colleagues, sharing templates as necessary Investigates, develops, and provides creative solutions to design challenges Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
Supervises, trains, and manages student employees, interns, and contractors Coordinates with outside agencies, freelance designers, web designers, the Marketing department, printers, and colleagues to gather information and materials for collaboration Assists with the coordination of photography, artwork, and printing Provides expertise regarding standards of good design and insight regarding budget and timeline Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 3 years' experience in graphic or digital design Master's degree preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures Ability to meet tight deadlines while multitasking Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with HyperText Markup Language (HTML) version 5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and content management systems Excellent creative, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to use good judgment and think critically Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, alumni, students, community, and media partners Work Environment
