Ofi is seeking a self-motivated individual for a critical position in our
Bolingbrook, IL
Cocoa Processing Facility and Warehouse. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be highly organized, detail oriented and thrives in a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician
Include :
Follow, lead, and demonstrate Olam's Safety and Quality Principles Ability to troubleshoot PLC control systems and electrical components up to 480 V 3 phase equipment Maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, conveyors, and production equipment including mixers, mills, chillers, blowers, and packaging equipment, etc. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, visual inspections, minor repairs, and calibrations that are necessary to maintain equipment, machinery, instruments, testing equipment, wiring, and associated hardware at required specifications Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service Diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and make adjustments as needed Work closely with process and packaging operators to eliminate down time Assist in production as business dictates Create and complete Work Orders into Computer Maintenance Monitoring System (CMMS) Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory and organization Fabricate parts as needed Other tasks as assigned Skills:
Should be able to work individually when required and self-motivated Team player, assists in improving process as needed and recommend work instruction changes Should be capable of working in demanding situations when required Overtime may be necessary as business needs dictate Effective communicator, verbal and written, to all levels of the organization Position Requirements:
Must possess strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting abilities Five (5) years commercial or industrial electric experience High School diploma or GED, required Must own personal tools and multimeter Experience reading technical drawings and schematics Knowledge and practical application experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C, and D/C motors, drives and controls Knowledge of the National Electric Code Forklift and scissor lift experience Ability to work at heights above 8 feet Maintenance experience in food manufacturing preferred Computer proficiency to learn other applications with basic instruction Ability to read, write, and speak English Able to lift 55lbs Basic math skills The pay for this role in the state of

ranges from
$33.89 - $39.54/hour
and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
