Job Summary

The Facility maintenance Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by helping maintain a fully functioning fitness facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Efficiency with various hand tools and occasionally power tools

Problem solving skills

Fixing items between multiple Planet Fitness facilities in Pinellas/Hillsborough county.

Identifying issues that could need preventative maintenance before they become major issues.

Assist more senior maintenance tech with jobs that may require more than one pair of hands.

Maintenance of gym equipment, tanning equipment, hydromassage equipment, toilets, showers, TVs, ceiling tiles

Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge in at least 2 of the following: Basic Plumbing, Basic Electrical, Basic Tile work, Basic drywall

Basic computer proficiency.

A passion for fitness and health.

Upbeat and positive attitude!

Punctuality and reliability is a must.

Trade background preferred, but not necessary

Strong listener with ability to find work without being directed

Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Valid drivers license with clean driving record

Physical Demands

Continual standing and walking during shift.

Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more.

Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
