About the Role
The institution is on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary chief academic officer for its School of Law, committed to delivering a rigorous and socially responsible legal education. As the head of the law school, you will lead its academic and administrative initiatives, driving excellence in legal education, scholarship, and service.
Your role will involve cultivating a vibrant, mission-driven academic community while engaging actively with the legal profession and the public to highlight the school's contributions to justice and equity. You will represent the school with integrity in all forums, enhance its visibility, and foster collaborative relationships within the university and beyond.
Applicants should ideally possess a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and have a distinguished record in legal education or the legal profession. The successful candidate will be expected to hold the title of Professor of Law and ideally be eligible for appointment as a full professor with tenure based on exemplary accomplishments in the legal field.
The ideal leader will be deeply committed to community engagement, ethical leadership, and public service, reflecting the core values of the school. Experience in a similar leadership role, coupled with a profound understanding of legal education and a successful track record of promoting a diverse and inclusive academic environment, is highly desirable.
This position requires collaboration with the university's academic leadership to contribute to strategic institutional goals. Therefore, the ability to work effectively and represent the school with integrity is essential.
