This position plays a critical role in the success of our retail operations. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will engage closely with customers to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions tailored for them. Providing excellent customer service and promptly addressing any customer concerns are essential to ensuring a positive shopping experience. In this role, you will also maintain high quality and visual standards for our products and store, while actively working towards meeting the store's sales goals. As part of your job responsibilities, you will have contact with customers, including minors, and will access cash, payment methods, and store merchandise. Given this access, a review of criminal history is necessary to safeguard the business and protect everyone involved. Job Responsibilities: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service. Assist customers in person and over the phone by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate products. Build strong relationships with all customers. Accurately process sales transactions while adhering to policies and procedures. Meet established sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Maintain accurate work order files and formulas. Select products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed. Tint and mix products to customer specifications, when required. Stock shelves and create engaging displays. Ensure cleanliness of store equipment. Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed. Help with deliveries on occasion. Maintain assigned areas in an organized and presentable manner. Stay knowledgeable about products and available options for customers. Comply with inventory control procedures. Propose suggestions to enhance sales. Minimum Requirements: At least eighteen (18) years of age. Legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodation. Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of experience in retail or customer service. Experience selling paint and related products is a plus. Familiar with operating tinting and mixing equipment. Ability to communicate in more than one language. Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
