Your Responsibilities

As a

Part-Time Student Maintenance Engineering and Data Analytics

for

John Deere

Waterloo Works

located in

Waterloo, IA

, you will:

Execute Maintenance Engineering Projects: BOM's, Spare Parts, and, PM's

Gather, review, and analyze data to understand trends and determine priorities for project assignment and execution

Process Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders by:

Organizing and filing PMs and work orders

Ordering parts needed and kitting them

Updating the weekly PM availability and coordinating with production supervisors to plan time to complete PM

Scheduling PMs for all shifts, including weekends

What Skills You Need

Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; others may apply

Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university

Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later

Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly

Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly

Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round

Experience in Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to learn new tools

What Makes You Stand Out

Experience in Power BI or Tableau

Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, Python, or R

Ability to collaborate and work well with a team

Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively
