Job Description
The Put-To-Store Group Lead has the primary responsibility of assisting the Put-to-Store Fulfillment Supervisor, and the Manager of Receiving and Retail Fulfillment. This position also has the overall responsibility of assisting all other Supervisors, Managers, and Senior Managers as they see fit in the day-to-day operations. As part of the overall duties, there are seven major areas of responsibility:
A day in the life...
Primary responsibility to perform and monitor all PTS Module, and Retail Fulfillment functions. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Provide leadership and motivation to others. Be sufficiently cross trained to assist in all D.C. Departments. Personally work in a hands on, active manner. Assist with the operation of the warehouse sales. Meet deadlines and respect the merchandise. The seven major areas are discussed below.
Primary responsibility to perform and monitor all PTS Module, and Retail Fulfillment functions.
The PTS Group Lead should direct the efficient flow of cartons through the PTS Module. They should collaborate each day with their supervisor and/or Manager and be prepared to: Sort, receive, and stage cartons upon initial receipt. Understand the PTS dashboard and how to run the "Open Order" report before waving. Orders should be waved and prioritized in accordance with the directives of the Director of Omni-Channel Merchandise Planning & Allocation unless otherwise specified by the Manager of Receiving and Put-to-Store Fulfillment. Ensure all "pull tasks" are prepared in a timely manner to keep the flow of PTS moving. Research and remedy shortages. Track carton progress throughout the day via the Lighting Pick and WM Prepare and assist with put away for residual PTS units. Use the tape machine to send cartons to Pack & Hold area. Organize and manage the Pack & Hold area. Manage and troubleshoot the Print & Apply area. Track wave completion at the end of the day. Load the outbound trailer. Maintain a clean and organized work area
Keep track of various materials needed for the PTS department and report them to the Manager of Receiving and Put-to-Store Fulfillment. Organize pallets and clean the shipping dock before end of day. Do not store materials underneath conveyor belts. Remove cardboard and trash from the shipping area daily. Support on the replenishment boxes. Maintain Pack and Holds pallets as organized as possible.
Provide leadership and motivation to others.
The Put-to-Store Group Lead is responsible for providing leadership and motivation to others. This is done primarily by serving as a good role model. Personally conducting oneself in a diligent, professional, punctual manner. At all times remain serious about getting the work done on time and accurately. The Put-to-Store Group Lead must personally perform work, not merely direct others. The Put-to-Store Group Lead responsible to "rise to the occasion" and motivate others to rise to the occasion, primarily through personal example, to meet objectives, especially during seasonal peaks. The Put-to-Store Group Lead should be the primary example of work ethic and maintaining company standards for our associates. Be sufficiently cross trained in the Receiving Department as well as all other areas of both FCs
Learn Inbound/Receiving functions and how they relate to the overall operation. Have the ability to perform in any of the following areas: Receiving, Stocking, R/W Zone Picking, E-Commerce Picking and Replenishment. As new challenges arise, the PTS Group Lead will need to be able to learn new skills and understand new processes to be effective. Personally work in a hands-on manner
The PTS Group Lead is personally responsible for working in a hands on, active manner. The PTS Group Lead should set the pace in his/her area. The best way to train effectively is to do the work with employees and give them a physical demonstration.
Assist with the operation of the sample and e-commerce sales, and annual physical inventory.
Assist with large scale bi-annual E-Commerce sales events by assisting with the overall zone pick and SureSort system to increase efficiency of customer order processing. Assist with shortage investigations during the sale to achieve the highest fulfillment rate possible. Assist with 'Samples Sales' to allow liquidation of company owned samples. Help break down sale after the event has concluded. Meet deadlines and respect the merchandise.
This position requires an appreciation of the deadlines inherent in the industry. Because of the seasonality of the business, timeliness is essential. Merchandise is either on time or the deadline is missed; there is no concept of lateness. All deadlines must be met. All orders packed by 6:30PM should be shipped that same day. All overnight shipments or non-standard shipments such as two-day priority must be shipped the same day. This position is responsible for anticipating problems, which could affect the ability to meet deadlines and service levels, and to recommend solutions. All operations in the Fulfillment Center require an appreciation and respect for the merchandise. Lilly Pulitzer merchandise is special and high quality. It should be handled with care and respect.
Qualifications for the Position
1-2 years of relevant work experience in a distribution or materials handling environment, preferably in soft goods or apparel, are required. This position requires responsibility, dependability, and commitment. This position requires a sense of urgency and the ability to meet difficult seasonal peaks, workloads, and deadlines. In the apparel business there is no concept of lateness. The company is either on time or it has missed the deadline. This position requires the understanding and appreciation that the merchandise is high quality, premium apparel, which should be handled with care and respect. The personal strength and stamina to lift cartons weighing as much as 55 pounds, from a conveyor to a pallet are required. This position requires the leadership to provide a good role model to others, which will motivate others to perform at their best. The ability to use a basic spreadsheet on a personal computer using Microsoft Windows & Excel is helpful. Training will be provided if necessary. The ability to operate a sit-down forklift. All other forklifts are preferred as well, but not required.

This position is classified as full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. This position is eligible for overtime and standard company benefits. The Senior Director of Fulfillment, Logistics and Facilities must approve all overtime in advance. The hours of operation are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM during normal operations. Overtime hours for the Put-to-Store Group Lead start at 6:30 AM and end at 5:00 PM. This position must operate within the guidelines detailed in the "Fulfillment Center Work Rules." This position is based out of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods. The ability to work on Saturdays is required. This position is expected to collaborate effectively with other individuals in alignment with our Core Values and Core Leadership Qualities. This position requires compliance with Lilly Pulitzer policies and a detailed Code of Conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook. This position is reviewed annually.
