Preventative Maintenance Mechanic
to perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aviation equipment, test facilities, and industrial machinery. This role is essential for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while adhering to maintenance schedules, environmental regulations, and safety standards. This position is located in San Antonio, TX
As a
Preventative Maintenance Mechanic
, you’ll
Inspect, test, and operate aviation equipment to ensure serviceability and proper operation
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on test equipment, facilities, and industrial machinery
Troubleshoot, evaluate, and determine necessary repair actions for equipment malfunctions
Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, reassemble, and reinstall components and accessories
Service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as needed
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Install, position, and set up industrial machinery and mechanical equipment using hoisting and lifting devices
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate or repair necessary parts
Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
Use automated maintenance systems to track trends, analyze equipment requirements, and maintain maintenance records
Store, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental safety regulations
Plan and oversee preventative maintenance activities while optimizing resources, including equipment, facilities, and training
Recommend improvements for maintenance practices and assess the condition of equipment for potential replacement
Observe all applicable safety regulations and immediately report any unsafe practices or conditions
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of related experience in high paced industrial environment
Basic Knowledge of electrical systems in an industrial environment
Basic knowledge of tools (i.e. Multimeter or oscilloscope, Dial Caliper)
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of test cells and mechanical systems
