Our client is an award-winning architecture and interiors firm based in New York City, known for delivering high-end, design-forward commercial spaces. They are seeking an Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer to join their growing interiors team, contributing to a variety of commercial, hospitality, and corporate interior projects.
This is a hands-on role offering leadership opportunities across all project phases-from concept to construction-on multiple interior projects of varying scale. The successful candidate will bring strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and experience in coordinating teams and consultants.
The requirements of the role are: 3 to 7 years of relevant post-graduate U.S. experience. Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution. Experience with commercial interiors, including amenity, hospitality, and workplace environments. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of SketchUp and Enscape preferred. Strong understanding of NYC codes, ADA, and Landmarks regulations. Experience coordinating with consultants during DD, CD, and CA phases. Ability to produce and structure well-coordinated construction documents. Familiarity with sourcing materials and drafting custom architectural details. Confidence in managing projects through all phases with oversight from a Project Manager. Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff. Excellent communication, collaboration, and graphic presentation skills. Willingness to travel within the NYC metro area for site visits and meetings.
