Job Summary:
The Maintenance Stockroom Specialist will be required to maintain sufficient inventory levels of materials and equipment spare parts to support daily operations and any other duties as directed the Maintenance Supervisor. Support building equipment operations and coordinate emergency service calls with contractors on assigned shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform clerical duties in the maintenance stockroom to include but no limited to filing of manually produced requisitions, hazardous waste manifest and Safety Data Sheets. Obtain and sign for stockroom materials and parts from warehouse ensuring the quantity is correct. Physically inspect the products and merchandise for damage and report appropriately any unacceptable parts. Organize, and put away stockroom materials / supplies when received. Issue repair parts and materials from the maintenance stock room to support production machine repairs as well as consumable items for Employee department usage and Contracted service individuals. Order replenishment stock electronically in the EAM system or as manually when issued against a CEA project. Perform physical verification and checks of on-hand stock "cycle counts" to detect shortages and make adjustments in the EAM system. Identify, and catalog for entry into the EAM system; materials and repair parts that have not been assigned. Dispense and issue chemicals to Department personnel when requested, ensuring a work order is produced for accurate accountability. Implement reset procedures on all facilities equipment Repair/replace wall receptacles, light bulbs, switches, ballasts, motors, door locks, closers and any other facilities-related hardware Conduct plumbing repairs such as sinks, toilet, urinals, valves and other rest room fixtures. Trouble-shoot water and sewer problems; escalate as necessary for major repairs. Patch, paint, and assist with replacement/repair of walls using standard building materials Replace filters, belts & perform light maintenance on rooftop equipment Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Certification in forklift operation This position requires excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn other software. Prefer knowledge of AS400 (EAM) Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service. Good written and oral communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Must have a working knowledge of and practice proper use of safety and personal protective equipment. Familiar with the duties of the Facilities Building Utility and capable of performing facilities maintenance task as needed. Capable of working safely with 120-240 VAC Skills necessary to repair/replace basic building hardware/equipment Requires heavy lifting, forklift operation and the use of power tools and machinery. Knowledge of minor plumbing repairs/troubleshooting. Work weekends and/or additional hours on weekdays as needed to accomplish position requirements. Education and Experience
