Commercial Front Load Driver in Silsbee, TX A front-load driver operates a specialized garbage truck with a hydraulic lifting mechanism on the front to collect and transport waste. These drivers are responsible for safely maneuvering the truck along designated routes, collecting waste containers, and emptying them into the truck's hopper. Responsibilities: • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks with front lift attachments in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all regulations. • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections using standard DVIR and report any issues for review. • Notify the Route Manager or Dispatch of any unsafe situations or service calls before proceeding. • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and address any issues. • Follow assigned routes diligently and complete all required documentation at the end of the route. • Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly. • Communicate customer requests or problems to the Dispatch or Route Manager for resolution. • Ensure thorough disposal of waste, leaving customer locations clean and debris-free. • Place containers correctly on the customer's property to ensure lids are secure and driveways are not obstructed. • Assist other company drivers as needed and perform duties as directed by the Route Manager or the dispatcher. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal as necessary. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience • Education: None required. • Experience: 2 years verifiable CDL driving experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL). • The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 21 years of age. • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include a previous employment check and motor vehicle record review. • Acceptable driving record required. Compensation: $24 - $26 hourly
