Lead Maintenance Technician
to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
The
Lead Maintenance Technician
will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks across multiple properties. This role requires hands-on experience in general construction and building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, problem-solving ability, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on residential and/or commercial properties. Diagnose and repair issues involving HVAC systems, plumbing (e.g., leaks, clogs, water heaters), and electrical systems (e.g., outlets, breakers, lighting). Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce future repair needs and prolong asset life. Lead or assist with unit turns and renovations, including drywall repair, painting, flooring, carpentry, and fixture installation. Operate a wide range of hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, wrenches, multimeters, pipe cutters, etc. Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate clearly with the management team and residents. Ensure work is performed safely and complies with local codes and regulations. Provide mentorship and direction to junior maintenance staff as needed. Qualifications: 3-5 years
of experience in general construction, building maintenance, or related trades. Experience with
HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
required, license in one preferred. Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills. Must be comfortable using tools such as power drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws, pipe wrenches, multimeters, hammers, tape measures, and ladders. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
