DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly motivated & entrepreneurial individual with exceptional technical acumen to develop and execute channel growth strategies, go to market strategies, and structured business planning. Generate customer loyalty and grow sales and margin within the Commercial & Industrial space. Focus on driving existing & developing new specifications with Edwards Signaling products, finding the right customer solutions to drive immediate and sustainable business. The position is fully remote; ability and passion to travel extensively throughout the United States, visiting customers & local sales teams in-person is essential. You will be the face of Edwards Signaling, using your excellent communication and negotiation skills to share our customer solutions and drive revenue. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Expertise: Proven ability to identify, qualify, and secure new business by offering tailored solutions that align with the client's operational needs.
Proposal Development: Ability to create detailed and accurate proposals, including estimates, pricing, and scope of work for large industrial projects.
Problem-Solving: Collaborate with internal teams to address any project challenges and ensure a seamless client experience from initial engagement to job completion.
Customer-Centric Focus: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular site visits, proactive communication, and ongoing service support.
Establish new relationships and business opportunities with end users, facility managers, engineers, specifiers, contractors and others for the purposes of obtaining product specifications
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: Product, Trade Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, etc.
Develop strong relationships with Commercial Regional Sales Teams and Rep Agency partners; collaborate on project initiation, hand-offs, & specifications
Represent company as Subject Matter Expert (SME) at any necessary trade shows or industry events
Develop the balanced strategy to drive channel competition while defending and improving segment positioning for Edwards Signaling
Identify key competitors, provide market intelligence internally to identify gaps, assist with NPD ideation, & drive supply chain excellence
Working closely with Demand-Supply Planning teams, lead timely input for S&OP process for the right balance between on time delivery and company inventory turnover goals
Drive periodic generation and executive reporting of business insights based on channel insight, data, and market trends
Leads large team of experienced sales business development professionals or sales business development team leaders, overseeing business development activities and ensuring short to medium term objectives and goals for teams are met.
Develops business development plans in support of the discipline and influences leadership on critical sales business development strategies.
Basic Qualifications
University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
Experience: 5+ years as account manager or engineer; lighting/electrical industry experience preferred; 3+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial specification-driven sales
Overnight domestic travel of up to 75% may be required
This is a remote role that will be based near a major US airport
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Aptitude: Exceptional technical & mechanical acumen related to industrial systems; create, write, interpret, & defend engineering specifications
Sales Drive: Strong ability to close sales, negotiate effectively, and deliver results while building relationships with existing and potential clients
Communication Skills: Exceptional listening, communication; documented history of successful sales growth & quota achievement
Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
Experience working with and managing rep firms
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - 200,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company's performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
