Precast Engineering Design Coordinator
to manage and facilitate engineering projects and tasks. Work model:
On-Site What you will do:
Ensure design accuracy by reviewing contract documents and implementing them in drawings and product specifications Execute and document engineering designs for products, connections, foundations, lateral analysis, and supporting elements Provide technical support for Project Coordinators, Drafters, and Checkers in the erection and production drawing development Oversee quality control by checking erection and piece drawings, supporting production, transportation, and field activities Maintain project efficiency by tracking schedules, resolving production deviations, and collaborating with external engineers and architects Sign off on construction documents after reviewing the accuracy of internal and external drawings and designs What you will need to be successful:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings to ensure accuracy in design and execution Experience with Revit 2023 (or later) and the ability to quickly adapt to custom Revit programs Basic knowledge of Bluebeam Revu for document review and markup A four-year engineering degree in mechanical, civil, architectural, or construction engineering At least four years of post-degree Revit experience with a precast detailing firm or precast producer Benefits overview: Vision, dental, and health insurance 401k PTO Interested and qualified candidates can contact Chad Weir at (515) 225-7000 or email cweir@thepalmergroup.com.
