Strategy Analyst III - Residential Energy Efficiency (Hybrid) Location:
Providence, RI Pay Range:
$55-$75/hr W2
Position Summary
The Strategy Analyst III - Residential Programs will support the design, development, and delivery of residential energy efficiency programs. This position is responsible for aligning program strategy with customer needs, internal capabilities, and regulatory priorities. The analyst will collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation that meets cost-effectiveness and policy goals.
This position is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, regulatory understanding, and experience in utility energy efficiency programs.
Work Arrangement Hybrid position: 1-2 days per week in the Providence, RI (Melrose) office Schedule flexibility available Key Responsibilities
Customer Focus
Develop a deep understanding of residential customer segments and their energy needs Use market research and data analysis to shape effective and inclusive program designs Incorporate customer feedback and industry best practices into solution development Internal Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with program implementation, engineering, planning, and vendor teams Ensure alignment on program scope, timelines, and strategies Recommend improvements to internal processes and coordination Regulatory Support
Maintain relationships with regulators and stakeholders involved in the program review process Attend regulatory meetings, contribute to filings, and support data/report submissions Assist in negotiating program budgets, participation goals, and performance targets Metrics and Analysis
Track and analyze program metrics including energy savings, participation, and cost-effectiveness Develop and refine key performance indicators for program success Use data-driven insights to inform program planning and improvements Industry Engagement
Stay informed on national and regional energy efficiency trends, technologies, and policies Engage with peer utilities, professional organizations, and conferences Identify and incorporate emerging best practices into the residential portfolio Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in environmental policy, engineering, economics, public policy, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in utility, energy efficiency, or regulatory sectors Experience designing or supporting residential energy efficiency programs Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication Ability to analyze, organize, and present both quantitative and qualitative data Comfortable working across cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders Familiarity with energy efficiency regulations, policies, and industry terminology Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
