Their New York office is currently seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist - Energy Modeler to join their dynamic High-Performance Solutions (HPS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on landmark projects across the commercial, aviation, higher education, civic, healthcare, and mission-critical sectors, contributing to the firm's commitment to decarbonization and the MEP 2040 Challenge.
Your new role Deliver whole-building energy modeling using IES-VE (or EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, OpenStudio, eQuest) Analyze energy efficiency measures and support Net Zero Energy/Carbon road mapping Provide consulting on electrification, decarbonization, and sustainability strategies Support green building certifications (LEED, WELL, LBC, RESET, etc.) Conduct renewable energy analysis, energy audits, and life cycle cost assessments Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to develop high-performance system strategies Present internal and external training sessions on sustainability and energy modeling topics What you'll need to succeed Minimum 7 years of experience in energy modeling within a consulting firm Proficiency in IES-VE or equivalent tools (EnergyPlus, eQuest, DesignBuilder, etc.) Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building codes, and sustainability standards Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and simulation tools (e.g., EnergyPro, CBECC, Sefaira, Cove.Tool) LEED and WELL accreditation (or on track to achieve) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and visualize 3D models What you'll get in return Compensation: $110-140K base Hybrid Work Schedule Comprehensive Benefits Tuition reimbursement and professional development incentives Monthly phone stipend and transit/parking program What you need to do now If you're interested in this Senior Sustainability Specialist - Energy Modeler role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your resume, or call us now.
