Purchasing AdministratorWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sr. Purchasing Administrator to join our A10 Supply-Chain team in the San Jose Bay Area. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day procurement activities including purchase order processing, supplier negotiation, coordination, inventory tracking, and documentation. The position requires direct collaboration cross-functionally within A10 Networks and its partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced and challenging. environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with component brokers to optimize supply chain flexibility and cost-efficiency Manage the procurement of optical transceivers and related components to ensure timely availability for production and customer demand Develop overall sourcing strategies for components to mitigate risk, support new product launches, and manage supply continuity Coordinate closely with contract manufacturers and partners to ensure alignment to production schedules and delivery timelines Manage and track purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures Maintain accurate records of purchasing documentation and vendor communications Monitor inventory levels (ROP) and coordinate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs Support the sourcing of new vendor/broker evaluations Demonstrates sound judgment in supplier selection, cost evaluation, and risk mitigation Assist with cost analysis, reporting, and data entry Coordinate with accounts payable on purchase order matching and invoice approvals Ensure compliance with internal controls and procurement standards Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure proper vendor setup in A10 ERP system Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Supply-Chain purchasing role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Experience in manufacturing, hardware, tech, or logistics Lean manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience is a Plus Mandarin Chinese (spoken) is a Plus due to frequent communication with suppliers and partners based in Taiwan Additional Information
4+ days a week in San Jose office - non-negotiable. 2 times a week there will be 1-2-hour meeting with Taiwan - 6-8PM PST
