Summary of Position
This remote position is focused on driving sales growth in the Southeastern U.S. by promoting high-performance engineering plastic compounds to automotive OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with a strong background in plastics, particularly technical sales of engineered compounds, and brings existing relationships in the automotive manufacturing sector. This is a strategic role with significant opportunity to grow a global compounding brand's presence in the U.S. market.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and grow a defined sales territory covering the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at automotive OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers Promote advanced plastic compounds including PA6, PA66, PPA, PBT, PET, and semi-aromatic nylons Coordinate with internal engineering teams to deliver customer-specific technical solutions and support long sales cycles Target growth opportunities within German and Korean supplier networks and regional automotive manufacturing hubs Key Skills
Proven technical sales success within the plastics or compounding industry Strong understanding of engineering thermoplastics and their applications Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and close complex sales cycles Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills Educational & Other Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related field) Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales of plastic compounds, masterbatch, or additives Existing contacts within automotive OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers are highly valued, but plastics industry experience is required Located in or near the Southeastern U.S., with willingness to travel regularly throughout the region

This role includes a solid six figure base salary with a lucrative performance-based structure.
