Position Summary Information
Responsibilities Oversee administrative operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency in project execution. Provide guidance on office management procedures, including staff attendance records, procurement processes, and travel reimbursements. Manage office logistics, such as ordering supplies, coordinating vendor services, and troubleshooting technology issues. Support program evaluation by collecting and summarizing feedback from MDNHA initiatives. Assist in scheduling board meetings and distributing board materials. Serve as a liaison between MDNHA and stakeholders, including board members, funders, and regional/national visitors, national, and international communities. Communicate financial and policy information effectively to key stakeholders. Collaborate with the Executive Director to prepare reports for local, regional, and national funders. Oversee budgetary processes for multiple externally funded programs and initiatives. Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal procurement policies. Work with fiscal agent to maintain financial accuracy and adherence to grant requirements. Advise the Executive Director on financial and procurement policies. Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as necessary to support MDNHA's mission. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Preferred: Graduate degree in Business, Finance, or related fields. 3-5 years of experience in budget/financial management, project management, or grants management. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of financial management and grant administration. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. Experience in developing financial reports and ensuring policy compliance. Interest in or appreciation for the history and culture of the Mississippi Delta. Primarily office-based, with occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment. Requires engagement with internal staff, university departments, and external stakeholders. Provides indirect supervision to the Administrative Assistant. Has input into hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions for staff.
Salary Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources.
