Swan Analytical USA is on the lookout for a skilled Field Instrument Service Technician to become a vital part of our innovative team. In this role, you will be key in ensuring our analytical instruments perform at their best at customer locations. As a Field Instrument Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to engage in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of both Swan and competitor instruments while delivering exceptional technical support to our valued clients. Please note that this position may require travel up to 100% (Monday to Friday only).
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Commissioning:
Efficiently install and commission SWAN analytical instruments at customer sites.
Ensure all instruments are calibrated and configured to meet the unique specifications of each customer.
Preventive Maintenance:
Execute routine preventive maintenance to guarantee instruments function at optimal performance.
Document all maintenance activities and keep service documentation up to date.
Technical Support:
Offer outstanding technical support to customers via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Troubleshoot and diagnose instrument issues quickly and effectively.
Repair and Upgrades:
Conduct repairs, replacements, and necessary upgrades to instruments.
Coordinate with support admin and management for sourcing and ordering replacement parts.
Customer Training:
Educate customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of SWAN instruments.
Provide tips to enhance instrument performance.
Documentation:
Keep meticulous service records, equipment logs, and reports.
Ensure prompt submission of service reports and all required documentation.
Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about SWAN's latest product developments and industry trends.
Engage in training programs and workshops to further your technical expertise.
