Overview: The

Experienced Forklift Operator

plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and management of merchandise within our warehouse. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of material handling equipment, including sit-down/standup, clamp, cherry, and reach forklifts. The operator will also perform order filling or checking duties as needed, all while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Forklift certification on at least three types of equipment is required to excel in this position.

Responsibilities: Skillfully stack and store merchandise in designated areas using multiple types of forklifts, dedicating over 50% of service time to equipment operation. Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage locations. Prepare products for shipment, ensuring exact counts and types for loading. Efficiently perform picking duties while meeting customer service standards. Move products from staging/storage areas to trailers. Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment, adhering to prescribed work methods. Keep accurate records to support inventory control and security. Assist with physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation. Conduct cycle counts as needed. Exhibit proficiency in Excel and general computer tasks. Understand basic safety protocols for equipment operation and promptly report safety concerns. Address inventory discrepancies with the inventory control team to assist in resolutions. Complete inspection forms prior to operating any equipment. Utilize RF scanning devices to ensure inventory accuracy. Qualifications: Preferred: High School Diploma or GED. At least one year of experience operating forklifts or similar warehouse equipment. Able to stand/walk for 10-12 hours with physical strength to lift/pull up to 50 lbs. Comfortable with regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching at various heights. Frequent walking throughout a warehouse spanning over a quarter mile in length. Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature changes. Flexible schedule with capability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and basic math proficiency. The base hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $24.40 to $26.40 per hour.
