This position is based out of our Chicago office

Technomic, a division of Informa Connect, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with senior executives and contribute to the growth and profitability of companies in the foodservice industry.

You’re a self-motivated, experienced sales professional who thrives on building new business for subscription-based services. In this role, you’ll take charge of demonstrating and selling our Ignite platform – a cutting-edge SaaS solution tailored for the foodservice industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Consistently surpass sales goals through effective prospecting, pitching, and closing.

Engage in daily cold prospecting via multiple channels (e.g., phone, email) to cultivate new business relationships and expand the client base.

Develop and execute clear, actionable plans to drive new business growth and expand existing accounts.

Conduct live demonstrations of the Ignite platform to prospects and clients, showcasing its value and capabilities.

Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales performance to meet revenue objectives.

Represent Technomic's core values in client meetings, presentations, and at industry events, ensuring a professional and impactful presence.

Travel to conferences and client sites as needed to support sales efforts and build relationships.

This role pays between $65,000-75,000, plus commission incentives.

Qualifications: Qualifications

Strong background in B2B SaaS sales or account management

Experience in foodservice and food retail sectors is a plus

Proven track record in new business development, prospecting, and lead generation

Prior experience in selling SaaS products is preferred

Exceptional phone skills with a courteous and professional demeanor

Excellent conversational abilities to engage and build relationships with clients

Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet sales targets

Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to deliver compelling presentations and proposals to diverse audiences

Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks and clients

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management and sales forecasting

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide tailored solutions to clients

Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers

Excellent negotiation and closing skills

Knowledge of foodservice industry trends or a willingness to stay informed

Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines efficiently
