Job Overview:
Seeking a
Warehouse Associate III
to join a distribution operation in Houston, TX. This contract role supports day-to-day warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and experienced with forklifts and warehouse systems. This opportunity is for 12 weeks, with potential for long-term placement based on performance.
Schedule and Shift:
Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (1st Shift) Full-Time Overtime Optional Primary Job Responsibilities:
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments and/or inventory Receive, store, and document incoming materials accurately and promptly Pick, pack, and process customer orders and transfer orders Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counts and reconciliation efforts Adhere to all safety policies; report issues promptly Perform light maintenance on equipment; uphold 5S & housekeeping standards Use barcode scanners and inventory-management software Complete shipping/receiving documentation Dispose of leftover packing materials Qualification:
1-2 years of recent warehouse experience Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one Comfortable with scanners/barcode systems Proven forklift operation (sit-down, stand-up, reach-truck) Able to lift to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods in variable climates Strong teamwork, communication, and punctuality (6 am meeting required) Familiarity with MOB (Material Order & Billing) systems High-reach-truck experience (preferred) Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings (preferred) Bilingual: English/Spanish (preferred) Benefits:
