Title:
Measurement Technician II
Location:
Ventress, LA
Pay:
$31.50 - $47.25/hr (Ideal range: $34 - $42/hr)
Shift:
Full-time, day shift
Travel:
Minimal
Schedule Requirements:
Must be available for overtime, weekends, on-call, standby, and occasional overnight travel
Position Description Technically inclined and enjoy troubleshooting and repairing equipment? This is an exciting opportunity to support natural gas measurement systems and ensure reliable and safe performance of field instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform gas flow and meter calculations
Test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot various meters:
Positive displacement
Rotary
Coriolis
Turbine
Orifice
Ultrasonic
Maintain and troubleshoot: Pressure regulators
Control valves
Relief valves
Other pressure limiting devices
Service pneumatic control devices, RTUs, EGMs, and gas analyzers (GCs, H2S, sulfur, water vapor, oxygen)
Conduct routine odorizer maintenance, including determining injection rates and concentrations
Operate and maintain power supply systems
Identify pipe, valves, and fittings using appropriate measuring tools
Ensure all electrical installations comply with applicable codes and standards
Install small diameter instrument tubing and procure necessary materials
Write and complete gas handling procedures and technical reports
Maintain safe work practices and actively participate in safety programs
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years directly relevant experience
Valid driver's license
Must meet residency requirement (within 30 miles of site)
Physically able to:
Work in varying weather conditions
Perform labor-intensive tasks

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and stoop Ability to carry up to 25 lbs, pull, push, and reach above shoulder height Willingness to learn and grow as a Measurement Technician Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Effective verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented with integrity, openness, and accountability Familiar with gas measurement operations and maintenance Proficient with standard office software
