The General Manager of Retail Rebel's Liberty, MO Distribution Center (DC) leads all operational aspects of our flagship facility, which supports regional stores and supplies merchandise for our auction, bin, and outlet channels. This position is responsible for driving efficiency in inventory processing, outbound logistics, and reverse logistics, while fostering a culture grounded in
The Rebel Codes . The GM ensures the DC delivers high performance, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence to support our high-velocity retail model.
Salary : $65,000 Per Year
Core Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead daily operations across receiving, sortation, inventory holding, production, staging, and outbound logistics. Optimize throughput and accuracy for high-volume liquidation of merchandise. Ensure on-time fulfillment to all Retail Rebel formats (bin stores, outlets, and auctions). Maintain and refine SOPs related to product flow, bin conversion, and SKU reconciliation. Productivity and KPIs
Establish and track performance metrics (e.g., units per labor hour, dock-to-store cycle time, inventory accuracy). Drive accountability by using dashboards, daily standups, and weekly reviews. Reduce overtime and rework through proactive labor efficiency analysis. Coach and develop team members based on individual and departmental performance data. Team & Culture Management
Lead salaried and hourly staff including Operations Managers, forklift operators, sorters, QA specialists, and others. Build a culture of speed, accuracy, and mutual accountability consistent with The Rebel Codes. Conduct performance reviews, coach leaders, and align staffing with seasonal and event-driven volume shifts. Inventory Accuracy & Logistics
Maintain product data integrity across WMS and other systems. Partner with Purchasing and Store Operations to align inbound volumes and outbound shipment plans. Oversee scheduling, vendor compliance, and load accuracy at shipping/receiving docks. Process Excellence
Champion continuous improvement through Lean practices, waste reduction, and SOP refinement. Identify and implement WMS enhancements and automation opportunities. Document performance benchmarks and lead improvement initiatives. Facility Oversight & Compliance
Ensure physical security, equipment uptime, and facility cleanliness. Lead OSHA compliance, safety audits, and preventive maintenance programs. Support facility upgrades and expansions in collaboration with Facilities and senior leadership. Requirements
5+ years of warehouse or DC leadership in retail, liquidation, or related fields. Experience in high-velocity inventory and mixed-SKU environments. Proven ability to build, coach, and lead large, diverse teams. Skills
Strong grasp of WMS, inventory systems, and data-driven decision-making. Skilled in performance management, conflict resolution, and change leadership. Thrives in fast-paced, constantly evolving operations environments. Physical Requirements
