Job Description Salary: As a Location Advisory Services Manager, you will assist with leading and managing practice growth, both internal and external, by supporting the development of the practice team, serving as an industry expert, and having awareness of the practices business operations.
Reports To: LAS Practice Leader/Shareholder Experience: 3-6 years; economic development experience is preferred Priority: Managing the day-to-day operations of the practice, including assigning, reviewing, and delegating work. Guides the professional and technical development of Tax Consultants and Senior Tax Consultants. Ensures execution of the teams project work meets internal and client standards.
Key Responsibilities: Proven technical leader on more complex client projects and shown ability to troubleshoot any client circumstances. Commitment to train and mentor Tax Consultants on evolving technical matters and demonstrates strong interest and ability in attracting, developing, and retaining team members. Takes lead role with Firm Relationship Managers by identifying and applying state-specific incentives programs to prospective client situations. Maintain a highly visible role in managing client projects and communications and shares responsibility in leading mid-large sized engagements to completion with Senior Tax Consultants. Takes lead responsibility for managing Site Selection Projects. Display problem-solving skills on more complex client situations and technical issues. Manages project planning, delegation, and budgeting to ensure projects are completed on-time and according to client and firm expectations. Ensures employee workloads are appropriate based on experience and capacity, while providing development opportunities. Ability to represent the practice and firm in front of referral sources and economic development entities in a consistently professional manner. Shares in responsibility of keeping the practice, firm, and clients informed of relevant industry news or regulatory requirements. Supports Firm Marketing as needed. Awareness of practice-line revenue goals. Collaborates with upper management to align project tasks, assignments, fee structures on engagement letter proposals, and goals for the team that support meeting targeted monthly revenue goals. Ability to identify staffing needs that align with the teams growth trajectory. Actively participates in recruiting and retention of current team members. Strategizes and executes plan to meet monthly revenue goals amongst the team. Knowledge and understanding of how the practice runs from a business perspective. Manages proposed engagement letter fee structure for projects and ensures fee structure can meet practice revenue requirements. Contributes to the growth and nurturing of new and existing CPA/Client relationships that lead to new revenue opportunities.
