Responsible for overall cleanliness of school building. Oversee day to day operationsof school and custodial staff. Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to administrator. Supervise and instruct other custodians Perform meeting set-ups and take-down by moving furniture, setting up chairs, preparing rooms, etc. Monitor assigned area by walking halls and grounds. Pick up and dispose of trash. Dust fixtures in assigned area. Clean bathrooms in assigned area by mopping floors; cleaning toilets; and wiping walls, mirrors, and sinks. Maintains consistent, regular attendance at work; arrives and leaves work at scheduled times; respects time limits on breaks and lunch periods; and follows district procedures for absence reporting. Recognizes opportunities for improvement and/or implements improved methods within the limits of authority; adapts to changes in responsibilities and work schedule with a positive attitude. Promotes and follows Board of Education policies, building or department procedures, and any other rules and regulations as may be established by central building, or department administration. Clean assigned areas by vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing, and stripping floors and cleaning walls, windows, and other common areas.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent Criminal background check required for hire
Can work day time hours during the summer. Will work between the hours of 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm during the school year.
Starting salary is $22.98 per hour + benefits. Additional compensation is determined based on relevant experience.
WORK YEAR: 245 contract days (Custodial Calendar)
