Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities

The Fleet and Critical Site Infrastructure (FCSI) team is looking to hire a Maintenance Specialist II for the front of the house at the Mercury Light Fleet shop. This position will report to the Supervisor of the Light Fleet shop. Located in Area 23, Mercury at the NNSS, Fleet plays a critical role in supporting projects and critical mission work that helps secure our nation's future.

Key Responsibilities

Perform various complex operations support duties and responsibilities with broad scope in Light Fleet & Fuel.

Interface with outside agencies and vendors in support of Light Fleet & Fuel.

Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for department services, answers inquiries from other departments, area offices, or outside entities.

Monitor all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager.

May manage records management Maintains files of various historical data.

Compile, analyze, and prepare or help prepare information for studies or reports, pertaining to Light Fleet & Fuel.

Assist with maintaining NNSS motor pool.

Research problems/discrepancies in documents and systems (including iCon, Maximo, Fleet Commander and other databases).

Track and maintain all GSA vehicle accidents and keep all records including police reports.

Scan documents such as in-town invoices into Maximo.

Enter all data necessary for new vehicles into Fleet Commander and Maximo.

Send the Badge Office completed Visitor Request Forms for deliveries and pickups from outside companies.

Excess vehicles out of Fleet Commander and Maximo.

Revise and edit (if necessary) documents for the Fleet Services Superintendent.

Maintaining Excel spreadsheets of vehicle recalls.

Answer phone calls and answer customer questions appropriately.

Create Pahrump and RTC parking permits for individuals needing to park their government vehicle overnight.

Keep all Radiological forms in correct folder for documentation.

Create Vehicle Rental Contracts for new vehicles going to assigned clients.

Create folders for all GSA vehicle police reports.

Assisting customers and making sure they are filling out appropriate forms when needing service done to their vehicles.

Making sure all government vehicles have a telematics system assigned to them.

Input timesheets into PeopleSoft for all craft employees in Light Fleet and occasionally other areas within the division.

May be required to become a requisition preparer.

Implement records management program and maintain files of various historical data.

Serve as Lead Emergency Director (LED) for building.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 2 years professional experience.

Extremely self-motivated and seeks out process improvements.

Skilled in Maximo and Microsoft Office strongly desired.

Possess planning/organizing skills and initiative; able to employ independent judgment; and apply knowledge and experience to ensure that requirements are completed efficiently, on time, and are cost effective.

Possess interpersonal communication skills of an influencing and motivating nature to interface effectively with all contacts in a professional and efficient manner.

Able to understand complex data, terminology, procedures, and regulations.

Able to use a personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, and other general office equipment.

Able to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments.

Able to apply knowledge and experience in interpreting data and performing work where established procedures may not be specific, using some creativity and initiative.

Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet the required deadlines.

Able to deal with the pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate and review the work of others in a positive, efficient manner, if required.

Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).

Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).

Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Annual salary range for this position is: $63,856.00 - $95,784.00.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
