Estimator - Federal Construction | USACE & NAVFAC Projects

Doyon Government Group is seeking a

Construction Estimator

to lead cost estimation efforts on

Bid-Build and Design-Build projects

for

USACE

and

NAVFAC

clients. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced estimators in the

Washington, D.C. ,

Maryland , and

Virginia

areas to contribute to high-profile

federal construction projects . What You'll Do Prepare accurate

cost estimates

for

commercial building and civil/public works

projects Develop

project schedules ,

budgets , and

cost allocations Review project specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements Manage itemized lists and pricing for labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment Collaborate with

project managers, subcontractors, and vendors

to obtain competitive pricing Build and maintain

historical cost data

and estimating records Lead

value engineering ,

cost-saving strategies , and

bid development

efforts Supervise and mentor junior estimators, engineers, and team members Ensure compliance with

EEO/AA policies ,

Federal contracting standards , and industry regulations What You Bring 5 to 10+ years of experience in

construction estimating

for

USACE, NAVFAC , or similar federal projects Bachelor's degree in

construction management ,

engineering , or related field preferred Proficiency in

On-Screen Takeoff ,

MC2 , and

Microsoft Excel Strong knowledge of

FAR/DFARS

regulations,

construction sequencing , and scope packaging Excellent

communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience managing

EEO/AA compliance

in federal contracting Familiarity with

vertical and horizontal construction projects DC/MD/VA area candidates

preferred due to proximity to project locations Preferred Skills Expertise in

design-build ,

bid preparation , and

cost modeling Ability to read and interpret

complex architectural and civil drawings Working knowledge of

statistical and engineering principles
