Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Cook:
Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
Taste all prepared food items
Use established ticket collection procedures during service
Responsible for records from area worked during service periods
Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
Ensure food and supply items are stored per standards
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
Attend in-service and safety meetings
Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards
Ensure personal commitment to your own safety and that of others
Use appropriate protective gloves (cut-resistant, oven mitts, fryer gloves) when handling sharp tools or hot items, and always wear slip-resistant shoes while practicing proper lifting techniques.
Abide by all Company policies and procedures
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), Weekends
Job requirements:
Experience in cooking methods such as grilling, sauteing, frying, etc.
Professional appearance
Strong teamwork skills
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Knife skills required
Background check and drug screening required
