26164 As a Mechanical Equipment Technician, you will: Provide on-site support for mechanical installation, debugging, and final approval of Fori Automation equipment. Lead and direct plant personnel during the debugging and startup of machines to confirm mechanical functionality. Assist the service manager and collaborate with other departments to address product-related technical inquiries from customers. Support local and non-local service calls and equipment installations. Train customer personnel on machine operation, startup, and debugging procedures for our standard machines. Review checklists and open issue lists before installation to ensure service technicians are fully prepared. Help enhance our standard manuals to create a more technically complete and user-friendly service manual. Attend meetings with the project manager and departmental supervisors to align installation plans and discuss unresolved issues prior to shipment. Generate and propose improvement ideas for processes and obtain managerial approval for implementation. Communicate regularly with customers on-site to provide updates on objectives and progress. Prepare service work orders and site status reports. Supervise mechanical installation, debugging, and acceptance activities at client locations. Coordinate necessary resources for installations, focusing on kits, warranties, and other essentials. Document any modifications to Fori equipment on prints and submit updates to the relevant engineering department. Collaborate with the site manager to ensure the seamless flow of daily operations at customer locations. Engage hands-on during installations, service calls, and warranty tasks. Job Requirements: Preferred qualifications include experience as a Machine Builder or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Machine Builder on Automation Machines. At least 5 years of experience in debugging and installing new machines. Willingness to travel for installations and service calls; on-call availability (24/7) during such assignments.
