The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in North Logan, UT is seeking a self-motivated individual to produce detailed solid models and production drawings of parts and assemblies using design processes found in the aerospace and defense industry.

The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Key Responsibilities:

Performs detailed CAD design for space hardware and ground support equipment

Generates fabrication and assembly drawings, including tolerancing

Collaborates with engineering team to meet schedule, cost, and design requirements

Required Qualifications:

Experience and educational requirements:

10+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma

9+ years of relevant experience and relevant certification

8+ years of relevant experience and an associate’s degree

5+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree

Applied math skills and ability to use analytical formulas

Strong organizational and communication skills

Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of experience with 3D CAD software in a space related field

Experience with NX

Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and system level tolerance analysis

Experience designing space structures, optical elements, bonded structures, or composite structures for cryogenic/vacuum environments

Cable harness routing

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fixturing, and tooling

Familiarity with surface treatments and finishes

Experience with part inspection

TS/SCI clearance

FEA/structural analysis experience

*Salary Range

$63,000 - $100,000

Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
