Position Summary
Join our dynamic Financial Operations Team at Ogletree Deakins as a Trainer. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our firm's billing function by ensuring training programs enhance the skills and knowledge of billing staff, Attorneys and Practice Assistants. This role will provide accurate and timely training programs for the Billing, Matter Information, Practice Assistants and Attorneys.
Essential Functions
Assessment: Evaluate training needs for the Billing, Matter Information, and Compliance, Departments along with Attorney and Practice Assistants training needs. Training Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Curriculum Design: implement training programs in a variety of forms including training videos, instructor-lead training (ILT) sessions, case studies and various eLearning sessions. Material Creation: Develop and maintain training materials like presentations, manuals, and QRCs. Monitor and Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Track training outcomes, collect feedback from participants, and make adjustments to training programs to ensure effectiveness. Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in training programs. Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. 5 years legal billing experience. Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel (formulas, pivot tables and filters). Working knowledge of Aderant and BillBlast. Experience with Prebill Viewer (PBV). Experience with electronic billing systems such as, Legal Tracker, LegalX, Collaborati, and TyMetrix, etc. preferred. Strong Knowledge of Billing Process: A thorough understanding of billing principles, rate structures and matter set up procedures. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a team and other departments. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication abilities and maintains a professional demeanor. Workload Management: Capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and adapting to a fast-paced environment. Self-Motivation: A highly motivated self-starter who excels with minimal supervision and takes a proactive approach in team settings. Organizational Skills: Exhibits exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Initiative and Judgment: Takes initiative, exercises good judgment, and demonstrates excellent follow-up skills. Attention to Details: Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for identifying errors and ensuring data integrity.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $82,400 and $103,000. In accordance with New York State's Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York State position is between $75,120 and $113,600. In accordance with California's amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $77,600 and $113,600. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $86,480 and $108,100. In accordance with the Wage Transparency Omnibus Amendment Act, the expected salary range for this DC position is between $86,480 and $108,100. In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $77,600 and $97,000. In accordance with NJSA 34:6B-23 the expected salary range for this New Jersey based position is between $90,880 and $113,600. In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act Transparency Notice, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $86,480 and $108,100. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
