Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Task Force General Manager
to join our dynamic team supporting Marriott-branded boutique hotels, including Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio properties. This role is a
1099 contract position
and requires
extensive travel
to assist properties during transitional periods, pre-opening phases, leadership vacancies, and performance turnarounds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Marriott brand standards, operational excellence, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Corporate Regional Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the acting General Manager for assigned properties on a temporary basis Provide immediate operational support and leadership during critical transitions Oversee daily operations of the hotel including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and engineering Ensure compliance with all Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures Lead and motivate property-level management teams to achieve service excellence and financial performance Collaborate with corporate leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning Address guest concerns and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty Train and mentor on-site leadership teams to maintain consistency and performance Provide detailed reporting and feedback following each task force assignment Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager at full-service Marriott-branded properties Proven success leading hotel operations with measurable improvements in guest satisfaction and GOP Strong knowledge of Marriott systems including MARSHA, Fosse, GXP, and CI/TY preferred Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments and lead diverse teams Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Must be willing and able to travel frequently and work extended assignments Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive weekly rate (commensurate with experience) Travel reimbursement (airfare, mileage, lodging, per diem) Flexible contract durations (2-12 weeks per assignment) Opportunities for long-term consulting or full-time placement
