We are searching for a Senior Interior Design Planner - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will lead and participates in the planning, organization and implementation of space planning, product procurement and other Interiors work for the Texas Children's Hospital system to ensure project alignment with departmental needs, hospital system requirements and applicable codes.

Skills & Requirements Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Interior Design or a related field of study) 3 years' required in interior design experience, which may include furniture selection, specification and/or drawing production Preferred healthcare interior design experience Must be able to demonstrate interior design knowledge and ability to perform space planning, preliminary layouts and detailed drawings Must have advanced knowledge of healthcare furniture systems Must have advanced knowledge of building codes as they apply to interior design and construction Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in written form. Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop, and Microsoft office Job Duties & Responsibilities

Functions as Team leader of interior design projects, collaborates to meet program goals and objectives. Mentors and trains Interior Design team members. Reviews Design team's work to ensure compliance with best practices, design feasibility and product standards Coordinate, organize, and participate in Design activities on medium- to large-scale projects Act as the owner's representative for the interior design and furnishings scope of a project. Work with Project Management team and design consultants/architects in space planning and conceptual floor plans. Develops project scope based on customer needs consistent with standards and objectives of Texas Children's. Coordinates with external resources to assist with project scope design & implementation. Prepares drawings and/or furniture plans in AutoCAD and other related design software to address operational project requests Oversees general office up-keep with Interiors team: office organization, sample orders, library clean-up and general admin tasks Confers with vendor consultants to update unit cost data on an annual basis or as needed. Proactively identifies issues and takes appropriate action to achieve resolution. Offers individual expertise to assist others in attaining positive outcomes.
