Job-specific functions:
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced according to appropriate inspection schedules.
Measure products, calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other inspection equipment as needed to obtain accurate measurements.
Accept or reject finished items according to procedures and work instructions.
Move all products that fail to meet specifications to Undetermined status according to work instructions
When possible, discuss inspection results with those responsible to determine root-cause, procedure and work instruction revision needs, and corrective action.
Report inspection and test data using defined procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Verify accuracy of measuring tools prior to usage.
