Description
The
AEC Talent Acquisition Sourcer
is responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and nurturing top-tier talent within the
AEC
industry. This is a sourcing-focused role that partners closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to build candidate pipelines and attract passive talent for high-demand technical and professional roles.

Key Responsibilities Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles. Source candidates using a variety of channels including LinkedIn, resume databases, professional networks, Boolean searches, and referrals. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to engage passive talent within the AEC space (civil, structural, water resources, transportation, MEP, surveying, etc.). Screen and qualify candidates to assess alignment with role requirements and culture. Maintain accurate and organized candidate data within the ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Stay current on market trends, competitor movements, and talent availability in key AEC markets. Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring or hard-to-fill roles. Support diversity sourcing efforts and inclusive outreach strategies. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
2+ years of sourcing experience, ideally within the AEC, technical recruiting, or engineering industry. Proven success in identifying and engaging passive candidates through creative sourcing methods. Strong knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter, resume databases, and Boolean search techniques. Familiarity with AEC industry roles such as civil engineers, project managers, surveyors, CAD designers, and construction professionals. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Experience with ATS platforms and CRM tools (e.g., iCIMS, Lever, Greenhouse, or similar). Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Preferred
Previous experience sourcing within the AEC or professional services industry. Knowledge of industry associations and regional talent networks.
