$28/hr + commission Commission:
4% of labor billed (onshore) | 8% (offshore) First Year W2:
$70K-$90K + $5K sign-on bonus Long-Term Potential:

Position Overview: The UPS Field Technician performs installation, start-up, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS systems, batteries, chargers, inverters, static switches, and bypass switches for commercial, telecom, and industrial clients. This role includes emergency support, design reviews, test procedures, and customer training while ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities: Perform start-ups, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs
Provide 24/7 emergency support as needed
Complete installations and custom projects with team support
Educate customers on system operations and maintenance
Maintain tools, equipment, and documentation
Identify and communicate sales opportunities
Complete reports, timecards, and expenses accurately and on time
Train junior technicians and attend product-specific training as needed
Safely handle electrolyte spills and follow all safety protocols
Requirements:
4-5 years of technical training and hands-on electronic/electrical experience (military background preferred - Navy/Air Force) Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, hydrometers; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Valid driver's license with insurable driving record Pass background screening, DOT drug test (hair follicle), assessment, and physical Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
