Your Role

This position is responsible for the short and long-term Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and operational effectiveness of these sites in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Ideal candidates with have the experience and talent to develop and maintain a strong, high performing, engaged team of employees to ensure that the day-to-day activities are executed effectively and efficiently with a high focus on Customer Excellence. They will also have experience working with logistics systems to maximize our operating performance. Leads and inspires a high performing Operations Team that supports Brenntag's Core Values and the Brenntag Way execution for business conduct and compliance Ensures safety is the first priority and that all activities are conducted in accordance with quality, health, safety, and environmental management system as well as corporate and local policies Contributes to the delivery of service excellence to both internal and external customer groups Builds and maintains a positive work environment by actively driving employee initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement and satisfaction Manages operational activities to meet inventory and customer demand requirements Ensures staff are appropriately trained in emergency response, health and safety, and in the minimization of environmental impacts of plant operational activities Develops annual expense and capital budgets and manages operational activities to control expenses incurred by operations in accordance with the operations budget expectations Immediately reports all conditions that either could have or result in safety, quality, and environmental incidents Inspects and verifies the satisfactory performance of facilities, equipment, and processes, develops and recommends changes where necessary, and ensures that work areas are appropriately maintained, organized, and functional Identifies and recommends changes or improvements, where appropriate, that enhance quality, health, safety, and the efficiency of processes Develop a succession plan by coaching, training, and involvement.

Your Profile

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface and communicate in a professional manner with diverse employees at all levels of the organization. Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, etc.) sufficient to perform the job requirements and the ability to develop computer skills in step with future needs of the organization. Strong desire to learn, grow and lead. Flexibility in handling assignments. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow through on projects. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Management or related field; or commensurate of education and experience. 3-5 years working experience in an industrial environment. Management experience required. Our Offer
