About the Role
The company is hiring its first
Business Development Manager
to lead and grow a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). This role involves hands-on leadership, coaching, and strategic oversight of outbound sales efforts. You'll work closely with senior sales leadership to shape outreach strategies, optimize team performance, and contribute to the company's broader go-to-market initiatives.
You'll also collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, relationship management, and leadership to align goals, improve lead generation, and drive pipeline growth.
What You'll Do Oversee and support the growth of a high-performing outbound sales team Set and monitor KPIs for outreach, engagement, and conversion Monitor team metrics through CRM platforms and internal systems Refine outbound strategies including messaging, targeting, and cadence Provide real-time coaching through call shadowing and feedback Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members Report on team performance and pipeline contribution to sales leadership Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 1+ year of experience managing a sales or business development team 3+ years of experience in outbound sales, including phone and email outreach FINRA Series 7 license (Series 63 required within 90 days of hire) Strong coaching and mentoring skills Familiarity with modern sales tools (e.g., HubSpot, Outreach) Must be able to pass a FINRA fingerprint background check Preferred:
Interest in finance and technology Experience working with or selling to RIAs or wealth managers Background in a fast-paced, startup-like environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Creative problem-solver with a proactive mindset
