We are seeking a skilled and reliable
Facilities Technician with HVAC specialization
to join our facilities team. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment across our buildings. You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as supporting general facilities operations. Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and split systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform corrective actions. Monitor building automation systems and respond to alerts or anomalies. Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system performance. Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations. Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair. EPA Section 608 Certification required. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
Benefits: Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
