Summary

The Hatchery Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing the maintenance and repair of all equipment, systems, and structures within the hatchery. This position ensures that hatchery operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards. The Maintenance Lead will coordinate daily tasks and oversee maintenance team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supports Allen Harim's vision, mission and values Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the hatchery maintenance team. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, incubators, hatchers, water systems, conveyors, and motors. Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs in maintenance logs or systems. Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary. Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards and procedures. Train and mentor maintenance staff on equipment handling, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques. Work closely with hatchery management and production to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or urgent maintenance requests. Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of maintenance areas and tools. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge/Skills

MS Office skills-Basic Superior written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Must possess strong problem resolution skills. Must be able to deliver business results under pressure while championing performance improvement Must have expert customer service skills with a focus on problem resolution to complex issues. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing, and welding.
