Warehouse Associate and Delivery Driver

At East Coast Metal Distributors, we are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate and Delivery Driver to represent our company with professionalism and excellence. Duties and Responsibilities: Wear a clean, company-provided uniform while representing East Coast Metal Distributors. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, greet customers, verify items, and assist with unloading trucks. Maintain a clean and safe delivery vehicle at all times. Report any personal injuries or vehicle accidents immediately to the Warehouse Manager. Assist with counter sales orders, verifying items and quantities accurately. Help other team members by ensuring shipments are correct before leaving the warehouse. Manage and document incoming inventory received from vendors. Secure and ship orders efficiently using various delivery methods. Become proficient and certified in Fork Truck Safety and Operations. Notify management of any safety concerns or maintenance needs regarding material handling equipment. Maintain order and cleanliness within the warehouse. Fulfill additional responsibilities assigned by the Warehouse Manager as needed. Qualifications: Must possess a clean driving record including: No more than one moving violation in any one-year period and no more than two in the last three years. No more than one preventable accident in the past two years. No restrictions, suspensions, or DUI convictions in the past three years. Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination. Effective communication skills for superior customer service. 21 years of age or older. Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested. Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required; related experience is a plus. Previous experience in counter sales, HVAC, or customer service is preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of using office equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical and Working Conditions: Ability to operate basic office machinery and equipment. Physical demands include lifting up to 20 pounds and performing tasks requiring standing, bending, and walking. Work takes place primarily in an office setting and a warehouse, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and chemicals.
