Maintenance Technician

will troubleshoot and identify failure causes; repair or initiate the repair of failed items and perform recovery/corrective or preventive maintenance of vehicle and wayside systems, subsystems, and components. Preventive maintenance, inspection, and adjustment tasks and procedures are well established and require normal supervision. Incumbents will follow the direction of higher-level personnel in preventive or corrective maintenance phases of work. Associates exercise considerable latitude and open judgment in the troubleshooting and recommended repair of equipment. Key Responsibilities

Remove all old power rail covers from inside the beam and on the power rail. Install new power rail covers throughout the system. Conduct debris clean-up from the guideway utilizing vacuums, brooms, and shovels. Reviews and understands safety instructions, procedures, nature of technical activity and possible solutions Follows company security and safety instructions or procedures to prevent any personal injuries Maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service. Performs other duties as assigned or required. What you'll get:

_ 10:00 pm to 6 am

Pay:

$20.00 p/hr. + 10 % differential

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Basic mechanical or maintenance experience, understanding of use with general hand tools High School diploma or GED equivalent Proficient in the English Language Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to work 3rd shift Must obtain and maintain certifications in compliance with all state and federal regulations applicable to this position Preferred Skills Ability to pass federal background check, drug test and physical exam. Responsible with attendance Motivated to learn. Training duration 4-6 months (depending on individual) before transitioning to direct employee Must be able to train on 3rd Shift Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job:

Required to sit, stand, walk, talk, bend, stoop and hear. Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Required to reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift up to 20 pounds Repeatedly bending over to complete tasks Use of power tools Must be able to walk long distances, and being on feet for most of the working hours Work on elevated surfaces is required, and navigate on uneven terrain Work may be performed outside the facility in various weather elements. Additional Information

Airport requirement must pass

FAA background

and security check to obtain SIDA access badge. This position is considered "safety sensitive" and is subject to alcohol and drug testing under

Federal regulations.
